This Privacy Policy is maintained by Wisdom Capital Limited ("Wisdom Capital", "we", "us", "our") to explain how we handle personal information collected through this website and through our lending and investment operations. We manage personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Information Privacy Principles.
1. Information we collect
- Contact details you submit through our enquiry form (name, email, phone, subject, message).
- Information you send us directly by email or telephone.
- Standard technical information generated by your browser (IP address, device and browser type) for basic security and reliability of the website.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and provide information about our services.
- To assess and administer lending applications, where applicable and only after a separate written agreement is entered into.
- To meet record-keeping, anti-money-laundering and other legal obligations that apply to financial service providers in New Zealand.
- To maintain the security, integrity and reliability of our systems.
3. How we store and protect information
Personal information is held within controlled internal systems with access limited to authorised personnel. We use technical and organisational measures — including access controls, encrypted transmission for form submissions where supported by your browser, and system monitoring — to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
4. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate our business (for example email delivery, cloud hosting and professional advisers), and with regulators, law enforcement or other parties where required or permitted by law. Service providers are only permitted to use personal information for the purposes for which we engage them.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website uses only the technical storage necessary to deliver its pages. We do not run advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If we introduce analytics in the future, this Policy will be updated first.
6. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and for any period required by law. Indicative retention periods are:
- Customer identification, transaction and lending records: at least 7 years after the end of the business relationship, as required by section 49 of the AML/CFT Act 2009.
- General enquiry correspondence that does not lead to an engagement: up to 24 months, then securely deleted.
- Website server and security logs: up to 12 months.
- Cookies: session cookies are cleared when you close your browser; any persistent cookies expire within 12 months.
7. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may request access to personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate. Please contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding and will respond within 20 working days.
